"It calms me down, after a stressful day" Really???

Probably the number one reason, everyone who abuse weed is "It calms me down, when I'm stressed". I'm going to go into detail on this and let you be the judge of that!
There are a lot of stress relievers out there and a lot of stress makers too. It's the life style we live in, wake up and reach work in 1-2 hours through the hardships of public transport. Handle a high workload job for 8-9 hours, and back home. Then the house chores/ homework, the kids/parents/siblings try to watch some tv go back to sleep, only to do the same thing over and over again - and again.

Yes, it is stressful to know this fact of life, which is why humans tends to find away to relieve themselves from this mundane feeling of life. Normally, all it takes is a party, meeting a friend, a movie, watching a game etc. These are the normal ways, so what are the other ways you may ask? well we already know the answer to that. Gambling, substance abuse, fight clubs, prostitution, RAM (Random Acts of Meaness) etc. They are short, thrilling, dangerous and most of all quick. Its the easy way to get out of the day to day trend.
So comes "weed" to the picture. Face it, you might have started to use weed when you are with your friends over a party, but you consume way more when you are used to it, when you are alone and on a day to day basis over a period of time.
You spend 10-70% of your earnings on it, and so many things for some time alone to have your weed. This is for a lot of people out there, a way of letting it go for a hour or two. Just to chill  and calm yourself down!! Abusers response again "So What! Its the same as smoking a cigarette or alcohol at the pub" .

Abusers sway into reasoning, their abuse of course one way or another. "Its the best thing ever! Its not harmful for you at all, its a medicine the only reason you don't like it is because its not legal" and it goes on "Nobody has died over Marijuana overdose, but so many people die off tobacco and alcohol every year, You are more creative when you smoke weed, it helps for you to think about life in a simple way" ya di da di da..

The only thing I agree is that more people die because of alcohol abuse and lung cancer due to smoking, but it doesn't make much sense to switch to weed for that reason. now would it? Yes its used by doctors for medical use? but do you have the same medical issues to smoke it daily? And its not legal anyway. Do you really want to risk possession? we wouldn't talk about legalizing weed, if it wasn't so in demand for the wrong reasons now would we? if you know your history you would know why really alchol and tobacco is legal and weed is not.

Its not legal, in my view for three reasons.

1. Who really benefits by weed not being legal? its the drug lords.. It wouldn't be that much expensive if it was legal now would it? They will always thrive in business, only if it is illegal.

2. Why do you blame the big pharmaceutical organizations for not doing it. Lobbying for the government to legalize it or investing in more research on it. Answer is well, they would be able to sell you enough drugs when you are only sick? They make more money selling to a weak populace than a drug free one. Its just not good business rationale.

3. Why do you blame the Government, firstly there are more abusers out there, than real patients. The main argument in government forums about the medical use of weed is that it is only proven to be a great pain killer and appetite maker for patients suffering with side effects of other medications for Cancer, AIDs etc..
Secondly, the majority of citizens are against the idea, because of the abusers and the drug trade and the adverse effects it has brought to society. Therefore, any government who legalize the trade will have a good chance of serving its last term at office.

Now enough going away from topic, focusing on the calming effect of weed.

As I have explained in a previous post here. The THC (compound) in weed effects our brain and more accurately the area where the body reward system is located. The same broad area controls our movements, emotion, motivation and pleasure. The more you consume weed the more THC effects this area. When you abuse the habit, this area gets dumped with more and more THC, which in return requires more and more THC to have the same sense of calmness. thus the addiction (and for you who don't think this is addiction), the motivation to consume the next puff of weed. This effect is the reason you feel light and high.

A person who is used to smoke pot for a period of time, will tell you the effect wears off and you have to consume more and more until it reaches the maximum you can afford to buy or have time for. In other words, Your first smoke session would have brought you a certain level of reward, in terms of emotion and feelings or motivation, but your tenth or the same quantity after one month of abuse wont get you the same effects, so you naturally tend to increase your consumption over a period of time.

So you have, successfully bribed your brain to feel something that your body cant handle. You work for 8-9 hours take a puff and work another 3-4 hours, you may be able to do this a few times, but I guarantee you if you get used to this you are only wearing your body out. After a few months you will start to get symptoms in your body depending on what imbalances you create in your body.
For example: If you stress your brain, in front of a computer, and abuse weed like above, you might start to get headaches or migraines or eye problems. If you stress your eating habits, have a puff skip a meal time, you will probably get gastritis. (You will anyway get these symptoms,  even without abusing weed, but what I'm saying is that it will be quicker and these are only short term conditions) You abuse the same way for longer periods of time, you will get more serious medical issues like even organ failures, lower immune systems etc.

Thats for the people who want a puff to calm down, when working. What about the others who abuse weed on a more sociable manner, like teenagers, or people without jobs who are hanging out all the time, and abuse weed. They want to calm themselves down for the stresses more emotional than physical.
These persons, normally get into trouble mainly due to the fact that they cant afford to maintain a habitual lifestyle of abusing weed. They will try to, in worst cases steal money, or do some irrational thing to make a quick buck, or the worst in my view save up, by giving in on necessities like food or hygiene or sociably be backward to present themselves in an opportune moment in life, like a relationship, business or pleasure, or even a proper interview because of the attitudes and personality changes an abusive habit brings to your life. Thats brings in more negatives to their life, and in return get them to abuse more and more.

I've come across people, who says weed will expand your mind, into thinking more about life, and have helped them to cope with things or better come out of issues in life, see life in a lighter way..
My question for these folks is a simple one, You think your mind has expanded. how? did weed grow you extra brain cells? You have seen life differently because by taking some time off from your mundane life, GO out of your normal thinking pattern while you are high (because everything seems more slow), and re-think your attitudes about problems you are facing. You could have done the same thing, on your own. with some self control like most of the other people do. Its not weed that got you to reconsider your attitude, its just you. What weed did was to keep you in one place, starring at the sky, and got you to think. Thats it!!

They even blame the authorities for not legalizing weed, because they think government don't want the people to expand their mind. Well think about it, If the Govt regulates the industry, it can probably make millions if not billions in tax revenue, rather than putting people in jail and feeding them free food and lodging. (US$ 25,000 per inmate annually) they can save this costs too. As I said, before the only reason not to legalize weed, is because of its abusers.

  THIS MAY NOT HELP YOU

BUT THIS WILL

LIFE IS NOT ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF, ITS ABOUT CREATING YOURSELF

You Don't Need Weed to Tell You How Creative You Can be in Your Life... You Just Need Some Time to Forget Everything And Concentrate on Yourself...

Create yourself on your own, Weed will only limit yourself.

Quit Weed For Good.

Why exercise is the best thing that will help you quit weed.

The main part of weed addiction, is due to THC getting stored in your internal systems, and making you crave for more and more weed. If you don't know what THC is read more here.

Anywhere you go to get help for your addiction, they will give you the same answer. "You Need to Exercise"

If you read the below post, you will know why this is so true, and the background of it and an all-round idea about how exercise will help you exactly. Having the full picture of what your gains are, will definitely motivate you to stick to it more often.

The number one advantage of exercise is , it will make you busy in your free time. This will effectively limit your time for weed, which should be the main aim for you.

The second advantage is the actual burning of fat, and with the fat you burn so does the THC stored in your body fat. Plus exercise will make you sweat more and in return also make you thirsty, and drinking a lot of water and urinating will help you to put out the THC more effectively and efficiently.

Sweating also release the THC in your skin, SO make sure you have a bath soon after you exercise until you successfully released all of your stored THC (Don't let the sweat dry and the THC will work itself back into your skin). Remember having a bath after a good sweating session is not all that good in the long run, as your body cant cope with the sudden decrease of body temperature, if your body is weak, it might lead to cramps. So wait it out a little bit in the first few rounds until you are fit.

Increase of your metabolism, while exercising will keep you active, in all your work. You will feel fresh and be motivated to do anything you like or even at work.
This in return will make your mind a positive one, keep away from bad news. It will help you to keep your motivation up, which is key. If you don't have motivation you wont do anything at all.
In other words, by exercising you have started your detoxification process automatically. Remember, even if you don't exercise and provided you keep away from weed, the THC in your body will anyway be worn out fully in about a months time, But it will feel as a very very long stressful time period. This is where people who just quit weed, get all their so called after effects, like headache's, chest pains, insomnia, depression and even nightmares in your sleep.

You need to help the process, and give it a good kick start. As I have mentioned earlier in one of my posts, don't start with a big bang, start slow and gradually increase your exercise routine. For example: start your first day by walking 20 mins, and increase 5 mins day by day until finally you are walking 45 mins. After that start jogging 50% of the way and walk the rest. gradually increase this until you don't walk anymore but jog.
After you achieve that stage, then maybe go for a gym and do some more cardio work outs.

I will write a different article on different exercise starters later. It doesnt have to be that boring, your exercise can begin at a dance class even.

Now remember, drinking water is the best, but supply your body with enough electrolytes, by drinking fruit juice.
(Fruit Juice - Citrus ( Lemon,Lime ) , Cranberry, Bananas, Cantaloupe, Grapes, Apricots and Berries Apples, Grapefruits, Kiwi, Oranges and Tangerines.)

In Summary through exercise,

1) Makes you busy in life, and reduce your time for weed
2) Burns the THC in you body fat.
3) Release the THC in your skin, through sweating.
4) Makes you thirsty, and get you drink water, therefore putting out THC out of your system quickly.
5) Keeps your mind positive, about your lifestyle.
6) Automatically starts the detox process that'll help you to avoid the temporary side effects of quitting weed.
7) Plus other benefits of keeping you healthy and active

SO now you know...

How exercise is your best strategy, to quit smoking weed for good.

Medical use of weed - the myths and truths of addiction.

Lets face the facts, people from all ages, groups, nationalities and cultures consume weed for many reasons.

However, it is disturbing to see a 14 year old or a pregnant lady smoking weed even for a weed addict. Why?
Because they know, that the child or lady don't seem to recognize the implications of smoking weed.

Some of the people I know have started or been introduced to Ganja (weed) when they were Children or a young teen. They thought to try it, because they know their brother or sister ( or their parents) smokes weed or they have seen it on TV or films and thought it was funny and an awesome experience.  Most of the addicts I know have started their abuse due to peer pressure and friends. Lets face it, you wouldn't try something out if you didnt see somebody else using it or a person introducing it to you. Its the same feeling like buying something after seeing and advertisement right?
Weed ( Marijuana, Pot, Ganja, Mary J or Cannabis), we all know is a plant. We also know weed is used for medicines for its bound chemicals. It is widely used for HIV and Cancer patients or people who have met with an accident and have injuries as a painkiller. What people don't know is that its the last straw a doctor decides to prescribe Marijuana when all other pain relievers fail. Doctors also use weed for patients with serious mental disorders. Now what weed users tell you is that marijuana is medically used for its healing powers, and will also tell you that its god given medicine. I have read many comments in my research, people who defend the use is Cannabis, states its the way you take it, you should vaporize it, or eat it or its the cigarette paper that harms the lungs etc etc... What they don't realize is that in medicine Marijuana is used to relieve patients of pain so they gain appetite, relieve nausea of other treatments and as I said kill pain. It doesn't heal or cure any medical condition mentioned above.

Weed is used also to treat glaucoma, Alzheimers, stomach and intestine problems, tremors, seizures and epilepsy etc. and the use of good chemicals in weed are researched in many ways to treat a vast spectrum of illnesses and conditions.
There is no record or proof that primary use of Cannabis has resulted in any deaths.

Why is Marijuana so effective and prescribed by doctors?
Cannabis Plant is used in medicine, because of its chemicals. There are around 500 different compounds in weed. THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol is the most prevalent chemical in the plant.  THC has been found to have antioxidant activity and believed to interact with parts of the brain normally controlled by the endogenous cannabinoid neurotransmitter, anandamide which play a role in pain sensation, memory, and sleep.

THC if taken in large quantity, will get dumped around the Dopamine receptor which basically controls the rewards system of the brain. Nearly all drugs, directly or indirectly, target the brain's reward system by flooding the circuit with dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter (or communication agent) present in regions of the brain that control movement, emotion, motivation, and feelings of pleasure. The over-stimulation of this system, which normally responds to natural behaviors that are linked to survival (eating, spending time with loved ones, etc.), produces euphoric effects in response to the drugs. This is the time that users feel relaxed and happy and this reaction sets in motion a pattern that "teaches" people to repeat the behavior of abusing drugs.

As a person continues to abuse drugs, the brain adapts to the overwhelming surges in dopamine by producing less dopamine or by reducing the number of dopamine receptors in the reward circuit. As a result, dopamine's impact on the reward circuit is lessened, reducing the abuser's ability to enjoy the drugs and the things that previously brought pleasure. This decrease compels those addicted to drugs to keep abusing drugs in order to attempt to bring their dopamine function back to normal. And, they may now require larger amounts of the drug than they first did to achieve the dopamine high-an effect known as tolerance.

Long-term abuse causes changes in other brain chemical systems and circuits as well. Glutamate is a neurotransmitter that influences the reward circuit and the ability to learn. When the optimal concentration of glutamate is altered by drug abuse, the brain attempts to compensate, which can impair cognitive function. Drugs of abuse facilitate non-conscious learning, which leads the user to experience uncontrollable cravings when they see a place or person they associate with the drug experience, even when the drug itself is not available. Brain imaging studies of drug-addicted individuals show changes in areas of the brain that are critical to judgment, decision making, learning and memory, and behavior control. Together, these changes can drive an abuser to seek out and take drugs compulsively despite adverse consequences-in other words, to become addicted to drugs. This is where you will do anything to find the money to purchase weed.

Therefore, it is possible for a person to be seen as normal even under the influence, provided he/she is not a long-term user due to the time it takes for the effects of marijuana to show externally. Plus, the sensations of the use weed also will vary from person to person. If you want to see a full list of signs a person is smoking pot read here.

Cannabis overdose also can cause paranoia and psychosis, produce sharp personality changes, Lung Damage, chronic bronchitis, lowering of testosterone, acute anxiety attacks, chronic reduction of attention span and possible birth defects, still births and infant death.

So when you say its not addictive, please realize its not the physical addiction but the mental addiction that will bring you down.

According to my experience, with drug abusers.
1 joint a day for 4 weeks will give you symptoms of overdose, and effect you internal organs permanently.
3 joints a week for 6 months will also give you the same.
1 joint a week is okay for some people who have a healthy life, but some people with respiratory issues tend to develop complications even so.

Once in a while of everything is always fine. But addiction is something that is always bad.

Quit Smoking Weed for your own good, and for those who love you the most. Remember, with the pollution levels going high, everyday you don't have to smoke anything to get lung cancer. however remember you using weed will not only harm you, your brothers sisters and your kids will observe you, and you might have a better resistance to the pollution now, and the new generation might not be so lucky.

So you quitting now, will not only help you, but others around you too...

Take action, don't get kicked around by people addicted to the same thing they are defending. take the decision and never go back..

As always if you need to quit smoking weed, you should plan it.
I would recommend always to follow a tried and tested program if you can enroll into one. or read my blog as I build it and make your own program.

The below programs give more details and methods you can use in your journey.

How to get weed out of your system - Detoxification

Detox

This is the most important thing when it comes to Quitting Weed.

Detoxification for weed means removing the toxins in your system. You take in toxins into your system every time you smoke weed, the main toxin you should be worried about is Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC in short.

THC get stored in your body fat, hair and skin. So its a difficult thing to take out, but don't worry its not that hard if you put you 100% for it.

Here is what you need.

1) A Lot of Drinking Water - You should drink in as much as you can and urinate as much as you can.

2) Vinegar - Mix about 50-50 if you can drink with water, or start 30-70 and increase gradually.

3) Fruit Juice - Citrus ( Lemon,Lime ) , Cranberry, Bananas, Cantaloupe, Grapes, Apricots and berries
apples, grapefruits, kiwi, oranges and tangerines anything with Electrolytes.

4) Sauna, Steam Bath or a hot car under the sun. You need to make yourself sweat like crazy.

5) Exercise

First you need to start walking or jogging, biking or hit the gym. Now due to other health conditions, don't go over do it in the first go.. start slow and gradually increase your time and length of exercise. Never suddenly exercise yourself to the brim after a few years without exercise, it will strain your body and can lead to many complications. so take it slow.

The idea is burn your fat, sweat a lot and get the stored THC out.
You will need to drink alot of water and urinate (piss) and get the THC stored in fat out of your body.
Take a Bath after a good sweat session in a hot car and don't let the THC work its way back in to your skin.
Have a short hair cut, if you want THC in your hair out.  Make it nice

It will take a full week or two, if you are a heavy smoker to get the THC out. The second day is the worst so plan a holiday on the second and third day. Plan for a long weekend or apply for a holiday from work to get this thing done once and for all.

Now is the time a good program will be very helpful. Go here to get a tried full program if you need it or follow the above in your own time.

I would recommend always to follow a tried and tested program if you can enroll into one.
The below programs give more details and methods you can use in your journey.

Quit Smoking Weed - The Next Steps

If you are reading this then you should have already read my first article here.

Now that you know why you want to quit and what you will get lets go to the actual quitting.

Let me tell you that quitting smoking weed is a hard thing to do. A lot of people addicted to it, try to stop smoking weed only to go back in a few months time. That's because they don't do it right.

First of all, you need to realize there are plenty of people out there who have been addicted to weed worse than you and have now come out of it successfully and living a good life. People normally don't discuss these things after, therefore you will find more addicts in light than quitters. So don't worry it has been done before plenty of times.

You cant make a time frame to it either, different people with different motivation, culture, and society background will take shorter or longer time to completely stop smoking weed.

And now its time for you.

STOP WEED USE

The first thing you should do is, dump everything that reminds you about weed, the posters, music, things that are on your table, in the car, and office EVERYTHING!

That's it.. round everything up, dump them away, I don't mean in a cupboard or drawer put them in the dustbin and even see it taken away from home. Tell your mind that's it, I'm on my way for a weed free life.

Next is people, that is the hard part of the early stage. Now you might be having a lot of friends close to you who smoke with you. You are used to the lifestyle of meeting these people all the time. You need to make a decision and tell them you don't smoke anymore if you cant do this right now, tell them you are really really busy and avoid them.

Now everybody you know don't smoke weed right? Tell whoever you can trust and close to you, that you are trying to quit smoking weed. Get their support, associate with them more than others. Now, if you have had a bad patch before in your relationship, this change in you might strike that person in surprise. Don't give up, don't push it either just hope they will support you. Give them a extra call, ask a question, ask how they are and make conversation.

Next big step is making yourself busy during the normal times you smoke weed. Start a project, a hobby, clean your room, order your files, work on your car, write a novel, read a book, exercise, get your self enrolled in a study program a diploma or some course on something you always wanted to do. Anything that will keep your hands and mind busy.

The best way to make yourself busy, I know that works is exercise. It gives you the same kind of rush any drug will do but in a healthy manner if you enjoy doing it. A dance class is another favorite of mine. It doesn't have to be ballroom it can be Salsa or Rumba which is always better. Gardening is also something that works miracles plus your lawn will look better and you will have your own  home grown vegetables. Think of ways you can help at your home.
Some also believe in going to church more often. whatever works do it.

This will help you to drastically reduce your weed consumption early.

But you should not be in a hurry, With all this its natural for you to smoke once in a while, but not as much as you were supposed to be that's the key.
The reason for this is THC and other chemicals you have taken in before, while smoking weed. These Chemicals stay in your system for a long time, and if you quit weed all at once the body will react to it and give you the urges to smoke again plus many more side effects you wont like. Discuss this with the people around you and seek support from them.

You need to make the decision firm and stick with it, reduce your weed intake. You can make a schedule for one month or even more.. if you take in 5 pot sessions daily reduce it to 2 a day, in a week. Next week GO once a day, then every other day, then only on Fridays with your friends. and thats it..

Congratulations you have basically got off you addiction to it.

But still your body will ask for weed, this is where detox come in..plus if you can detox from early stages it helps you to get rid of your habit more easily.

I will write on detoxifying your body for weed in a separate post and link it here.

Remember to keep your priorities straight, your health comes first of everything, your family , Job, Friends come later. because if you are sick nothing really matters now does it?!

So Take Action now..

And as in all my posts here, I firmly believe if you buy something you will use it.
You will need help in organizing your program.
The below programs give more details and methods you can use in your journey.

Read my other blog posts for next steps and Good Luck!!
Share this with people you might know that needs help even with your friends who smoke with you.

Quit Smoking Weed - Why Do you want to Quit Smoking

If you are reading this post, I am quite sure you want some help and advice on how to quit smoking weed either for your self or a close family member or friend.

Let me take you straight to the point here without wasting your time.

The First Step is to think and process into your mind "why you want to stop smoking weed?"

Now, the answers may vary on individual, but it can be one or more of the following broad reasons,

1) Financial Gain (s)
2) Health Gain (s)
3) Social Gain (s)
4) Time You Save

Financial Gains
Smoking weed ( Marihuana, Cannabis, Mary J, Grass..etc) or just plain cigarettes is an expensive habit. I am an accountant by profession, So I might be able to explain this better than what you would think that will save you.

Now the obvious saving is the cost of the weed it self. Whatever the angle you see this, when you add up the cost for a month, it comes to a significant amount. Now the less obvious cost benefits might be, the extra drive you have to make to purchase weed, the gasoline and time. Lets say you are in a club, and when you are high maybe you attack your purse more than you would if you are sober and can make a better judgement on what exactly to order. The risk of financial costs, if you get caught to the authorities, the fines, fees and lawyers costs. The cost possibilities are endless. Lets say you are high in your own house, when you go to the fridge, you trip over a carpet and on your way down you hold on to the nearest object to you. this might be an electric kettle, the phone on the wall, and expensive ornament or the LCD television which also falls down and brakes. It might be the most expensive fall you have had in your life but for what? Just wanting to be high?

This is just over my head, and you might now remember what extra costs you have incurred because you were high.

Keep that in mind and now, roughly calculate on average what you spend on smoking weed, now how long have you smoked weed? multiply your monthly cost with the months you've been an addict. Now think of all the stuff you could have bought in those times. "Opportunity cost" is the term we accountants use in this case.
Think of the cloths you could have bought, a better watch, a better mobile phone, trying out a new restaurant, club...

Think of the new people you would have met while trying a new restaurant, or a new girl or boy you could have attracted if you were more presentable. Maybe you could have bought a better gift for you loved ones, if you had some more money in you bank. You could have gained interest if you invested all that money somewhere? You could have bought an  upgrade to your PC? modify your car?

It can be a simple benefit like shopping, or a major benefit like investing for your future, the bottom line is you would now be in a better place physically and mentally if you spent all that money on something else rather than buying weed.

Now that's not it either, read the below health gains section and you will realize you need more money for maintaining your health  as well, plus when you are not well you loose money, because you cant work.

                                                           Health Gains

The Obvious health benefit you will think you will get is the less risk of Lung Cancer.

Some idiots say you don't get lung cancer from weed. Obviously when you smoke you are putting in extra fumes, particles and tar into to your lungs. Which is not natural.
Our breathing system starts from the nose, and we all have defensive apparatus like nostrils and nasal mucus in our noses to keep away the extra particles that can harm our internal organs such as lungs. By Smoking we are bypassing all our natural defenses and putting in so much adverse constituents directly into our lungs. If done continuously will result in faster deterioration of our lungs. The body will naturally try to repair the harm, and viola we have unnatural growths (cancer) in our lungs.

Smoking weed can cause also the below conditions,

The short-term effects of marijuana include:
  • Distorted perception (sights, sounds, time, touch)
  • Problems with memory and learning
  • Loss of coordination
  • Trouble with thinking and problem-solving
  • Increased heart rate, reduced blood pressure
Sometimes marijuana use can also produce anxiety, fear, distrust, or panic.

Effects on the Brain

The active ingredient in marijuana, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, acts on cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors, but other areas of the brain have few or none at all. Many cannabinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement. When high doses of marijuana are used, usually when eaten in food rather than smoked, users can experience the following symptoms:

  • Hallucinations
  • Delusions
  • Impaired memory
  • Disorientation

Effects on the Heart

Within a few minutes after smoking marijuana, the heart begins beating more rapidly and the blood pressure drops. Marijuana can cause the heart beat to increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute, and can increase even more if other drugs are used at the same time. Because of the lower blood pressure and higher heart rate, researchers found that users' risk for a heart attack is four times higher within the first hour after smoking marijuana, compared to their general risk of heart attack when not smoking.

Other Health Effects

Research indicates that THC impairs the body's immune system from fighting disease, which can cause a wide variety of health problems. One study found that marijuana actually inhibited the disease-preventing actions of key immune cells. Another study found that THC increased the risk of developing bacterial infections and tumors.

The bottom line here is you have successfully increased the risk of having various health issues and complications. The best part is you have paid your way to it, and some drug lord is very rich with your cash. Plus now you need more money for your medical bills.

     Social Gains

Do you see the difference before and after drug addiction in above pictures?

This is a difficult area to explain, because most of the people who are addicted to weed, starts their addiction with a group of people they think they are part of, or in other words society.
You start using weed because the society around you accepts it, they give you the reasons for it, supports it, introduce it and then leave you to it.
In some cases even the culture around an addicted person has helped him/her to start using weed.
For example: Reggae music culture in the Caribbean Islands.

If you really think of it, the people you don't care or who don't care about you are the ones normally smoke weed with you or introduce it to you. They don't care how you end up in life or what you exactly have to face in life once you are addicted. Frankly they are like worms or flies, and they need the world to be like a dump so they can flourish. So they Drag you down with them, because they don't want to see you succeed in life.

In social life you select people whom you want to be with, and they select you. In School, Work, Church, anywhere you normally, make groups of people who are more together. Sadly in many cases somewhere in a persons life they meet the wrong people at the wrong time who introduce you to things that you might not have want to go try yourself like weed, or drugs or a simple cigarette.

That's how 99% of people start their addictions, in a group for acceptance, attention and action. Acceptance because you think if you say "No" you will be considered out of the group, Attention because you need confirmation that everybody is listening to you and you are taken seriously, and action because some groups think they need to share something exciting and do some thing together to maintain the group and they go and resort to drugs, and smoking weed. How pathetic is that?

Now think about it, do you really need that group of people in your life, and do you really need to listen to them at least?

When you are an addict its safe to also mention that you would have missed a lot of things that you would have done better or done altogether. Something like missing a class that would have given you that extra mark for a distinction pass or A+ in an exam, given more attention to your kid or spouse, applied to an educational program to improve your skills, participated in a social event and build your contacts to your business, etc..

You would never know what you have missed, maybe you missed an opportunity to meet a better girl friend in a party because you were too high on weed, because addicts are backward in social gatherings. How much ever you think you are presentable, for people who knows the signs they will know you are an addict by the first glance, and they wont respect you. Dark Lips, finger tips, sunken eyes, twitchy lips, all are signs people identify and judge you and avoid you.

Have you got caught to police, in possession? how was the experience, No not in the jail after the jail when you are home? Are you guilty that you have failed in the face of your family (Parents/Spouse)? Will you go through it again to get high?

Now the best part is, this is all recoverable, because when people know that you were an addict and now you have got yourself out of it, you will be more welcomed into conversations, they will be interested in finding out how you are now, they will respect you more, listen to your input with more attention, help you out. You will feel different in everything you do frankly.

And for your group that introduced weed to you, tell them you don't want it again and you have quit smoking weed now. I promise you, there will be at least one person from that group approaching you to find out how you did it? Trust me on this one.

The bottom line here is you have successfully reduced your importance to society and lost respect and attention. You move down the ladder everyday in life not the other-way around. If you come out of your addiction you will be able to find out who your real friends are and people who really care that you exist in this world. You will get more acceptance, attention and action than you would imagine and I mean all the action :)..

Time you Save

The more surprising thing you will note when you stop smoking weed is the time you have to do other things.

Lets say you are at work, stressed out on a report that needs to go in an hour.. while writing the report and checking it you realize you knew that this report should have been done yesterday, reviewed today and sent like 10 minutes back and now you don't have time to check your work, nor see how you can put in something extra to impress your boss. You think "Damn it, I shouldn't have taken that smoking break after lunch" or " I really should have skipped yesterdays pot session with my friends and gone early to bed, or worked some of this at home or got up early today and come for work".

Have you realized time flies when you are high? Think of all the things you could have done at the time?

The bottom line here is you have lost so much time on an activity that only gives you pain and suffering afterwards. Makes your life a miserable run to everything that ends up short in something that you could have achieved much better, but you have missed the time to do it.

Therefore, in conclusion to things you can achieve if you quit smoking weed are, always a combination of all of the above. By saving the money, time and worry you spend on weed, automatically will give you  health, wealth and stealth in everyday life.

You have the chance to experience a new beginning. I don't have to tell you the chain of advantages of quitting weed.I know you will now think of all the things you could have saved and achieved if you didn't here about weed at all. By "chain of advantages" I mean that when you save money or health its not just that you gain, if you have extra money you can probably go for a good vacation, reduce your stress, improve your connection to the family, decrease your health risks come back, attend work fresh, impress boss, get promoted, be more respected and the chain goes on and on...

All you need now is to learn how to quit or stop smoking weed.

This is another post I will do in this blog and if you need a program to do this I can recommend the following programs

Now these programs cost a few bucks, but I firmly believe you will stick to a program that you paid for rather than getting it for free plus when you quit smoking weed you will cover the cost in a week. Both the programs are tried and tested and have helped a lot of people I have counseled. They will certainly help in your journey and leave you the suspense of whether you are doing it right or wrong.
